
Challenge
Supura is a machine manufacturer and service provider specialized in industrial cleaning for high-tech environments, including the semiconductor industry.
Within their process, pallets, bins, crates, and inlays are thoroughly cleaned, after which they must be packaged under strict cleanroom conditions.
The challenge was to develop a fully automated line, from input to output, where cleaned products could be packaged immediately and without contamination.
This placed high demands on the packaging solution. In a cleanroom environment, even the smallest contamination is unacceptable. To ensure the required cleanliness levels, two conditions had to be met:
- The empty “carrier pallet” must be covered with its own hood.
- The load must be protected with a double hood.
The question was clear: how do you create a reliable, automated packaging process without compromising cleanroom quality?
Solution
Together with Nipper, Supura developed an integrated packaging solution as part of their automated cleaning line.
Nipper’s stretch hood machine was implemented to ensure controlled, contamination-free packaging within the cleanroom environment:
• Cleaned pallets, bins, and crates are automatically fed from the washing line
• The stretch hood machine applies two hoods in a controlled process for maximum protection
• The entire process is executed without risk of contamination
• The solution is fully integrated into Supura’s automated line
Beyond the technical solution, Nipper actively supported process optimization. This went beyond the machine itself, including guidance on film selection and hands-on support during installation and commissioning.
