As a Field Service Engineer, you are the technical face of Nipper. You will travel to customer sites across Europe and beyond to install systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure our solutions continue to perform at their best.
No two days are the same. One week you might be commissioning a new mobile robot solution at a customer site in Europe, while the next week you could be installing a packaging system or providing remote support from our headquarters in Bergeijk.
Your Role
You will become part of a dedicated service team consisting of service technicians, engineers, a Customer Support Manager, a Service Coordinator, and the Service Manager. Together, you ensure that customers around the world can rely on maximum uptime and performance.
In this position, you report directly to the Service Manager and work closely with our Engineering, Production, and R&D teams. You’ll enjoy a high level of autonomy, responsibility, and variety.


What Will You Do?
You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and optimizing our mobile robots and packaging systems at customer sites worldwide. Your work combines mechanical, electrical, and software-related tasks with customer interaction and technical support.
Your responsibilities include:
- Installing, commissioning, and testing AGVs/AMRs and packaging systems
- Performing preventive maintenance and inspections
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues
- Supporting customers remotely and providing technical troubleshooting
- Integrating systems and connecting equipment to customer environments
- Training operators and maintenance teams on system operation and best practices
- Identifying improvement opportunities, service needs, and spare parts requirements
- Reporting findings and collaborating with Engineering and R&D to further improve our products
What Do You Bring?
- MBO+/Associate Degree or Bachelor’s level working and thinking ability, preferably in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or Robotics
- Affinity with mechanics, electrical systems, and software
- Experience in troubleshooting and solving technical problems
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
- A hands-on, independent, and customer-focused mindset
- Willingness to travel internationally. On average, you will travel approximately two weeks per month, always in consultation with the team

- A gross monthly salary between €2,750 and €3,750, depending on experience
